Easy Cocktail Sauce
- Servings: Makes 1 cup.
Why pay more for store-bought or merchant-made cocktail sauce when it's so easy to make with pantry ingredients?
Serve this with boiled or roasted then chilled shrimp as a classic appetizer or pass a bowl of the sauce with a platter of smaller, bite-sized shrimp as an hors d'oeuvre. This sauce can also take the place of salsa with a plate of steamed vegetables or pan-cooked tilapia fillets.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup Heinz chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, or more to taste
- 1 heaping teaspoon white horseradish (Gold's is a good brand; it's sold in the chilled dairy case)
Directions
- Combine in a serving bowl and stir to blend.
