The Interview: Wines from Burgundy

The Interview: Wines from Burgundy

Brian Flanagan is an expert in the wines of Burgundy and the Rhône Valley.  From his position at The Burgundy Wine Company at 143 West 26th Street in Manhattan, he helps his customers taste, choose, buy, store, and best of all -- drink and enjoy these great wines.

In his conversation with us, Brian gives us a crash course in Burgundy wines -- what makes these wines rare, unique and excellent, how to choose a good one at all price points, why the slope-shouldered bottles look like no others, the meaning and power of terroir, and what he thinks is the one, great Burgundy wine he'd choose for the ages.
