Little Pie Company

A Manhattan pie and cake bakery that first opened in Hell's Kitchen in 1985.
What's great:
All the pies are very good -- apple, sour cream apple walnut, Southern pecan, classic key lime, Mississippi mud pie, cherry, and more. They make their pies in three different sizes -- from a small household-friendly (or all for you) 5-inch version to a generous 10-inch. The pastry is flaky and flavorful and looks like it's homemade which makes a lovely impression if you're bringing a pie to a friend's dinner or placing it on a holiday dinner table. They are also popular for old fashioned chocolate cake, carrot cake made with applesauce, and New York cheesecake.
What to know:
Not everything sold in the store is sold on-line. They make versions of their apple and cherry pies without added sugar. Savory baked goods include breads, muffins and quiches. This bakery is profoundly busy around each major holiday so always call ahead and place an order for any special event. You can buy online and they'll ship to most locations.
