Their duck maigret, or breast, are superb and sold in individual vacuum packs either on-line or in many fine grocers and butcher shops.  And while famed for their duck and pâtés, the company also offers a big and eclectic selection of top-quality beef, pork, lamb, and all types of game.

What to know: 

The company was founded by and is still run by the Daguin family, originally from the Gasgony region in France where all things duck are king.  The company is named after Charles de Batz de Castelmore, Comte d’Artagnan, immortalized as the fourth musketeer in Alexandre Dumas’ novel The Three Musketeers.
